"Shri Amrita Higher Secondary School is a self Finance State Board Syllabus School with Tamil and English Medium sections from Standard VI to XII which is based on the inspiration, ideology and principles of the Holy mother Satguru Sri SriMata Amritanandamayi Devi. It is the brain child of Dr. M. Bharathi, Founder, who was supported and assisted by Sri. K.S.Sainathan, retired Headmaster and Lion A.Kushal Chand Jain, Philanthropist and social worker, as Co-Founders and run by several other Trustees of Vademataram Educational Charitable Trust, Tirupattur.
From a humble beginning as Shri Amrita Higher Secondary School, in 2000 with 13 students, it has grown steadily into well established School with 1200 students, 50 Teaching Staff, 8 ECA staff and 6 non-teaching staff. A class strength of 30 students from VI to X, 45 students in XI and XII, is strictly adhered to, to ensure individual attention and efficient teaching. The higher secondary classes have Computer Science, Biology, Commerce streams.
While academics is the most important aspect of school curriculum, the teaching as well as non - teaching staff are equally dedicated to the all-round development of every child. Value education and extra-curricular activities such as yoga, aerobics, Folk Dance, classical dance and music, Chess, Silambam, Band Music(Gosh), Personality development and Good grooming classes, attempt to draw out the best in each child.
This emphasis on holistic education has ensured that the students of Shri Amrita Higher Secondary School are achievers in every sphere.
